I graduated from Avans (the Academy of Media and User Experience) and during an internship at STBY, I fell in ‘love’ with service design. I had finally found my passion – something that’s about more than creating nice stuff.
My graduation project was about public transport and tourism in Amsterdam: ‘How can tourists in Amsterdam improve their experience of different types of public transport?’
Whether I’m walking down the street, riding the train, accessing the internet, paying bills, or sitting on a terrace and drinking coffee, I’m using a service. That’s why I’m always finding myself wondering, ‘How can I improve this?’.
Researching and getting to know the customer is a great starting point for a service. I always put the ideas, concepts, and stories into visual form, to make things tangible for the customer, and more human.
As a Liveworker, I imagine, design, and test my projects. I love every aspect. I’m learning every day because we work in different sectors all over the world. Not to mention all the other Liveworkers, who are great to work with!
