Liveworker

Gene Libow

As a Service Design Consultant, I connect clients with their customer’s needs, and help create compelling service solutions by designing for human values, organisational capabilities, and business priorities.

I studied Philosophy and Chemistry, and developed the capacity for flexible thinking and creative experimentation. I discovered service design organically, by challenging myself to understand how services work, why they fail, and what can be done to improve them.

My passion for healthcare drove me to spend a year researching and co-creating healthcare service solutions that promote quality of life, care coordination, and effectiveness. I was inspired by the stories of the patients, families, and care providers I interviewed, and I see storytelling as an essential tool for transformation in my work across industries.

In my experience designing services in healthcare, information technology, and sustainability, I focus first and foremost on the physical world and human behavior, and I use technology to support the values of the communities I serve. I have designed and lead the implementation of complex services, and I draw on this experience to build sustainable solutions for those who will use a service, and those who are tasked with its implementation.

I am inspired by the talent, experience, and motivation of my Livework team members, who not only challenge me to grow, but are also eager to help me learn. This environment, combined with Livework’s philosophy and reach, makes me grateful for this opportunity, and excited for the future.
