Livework drinks: humanising smart cities
Smart cities are a hot topic right now. But are all the initiatives that have built the hype really so smart? Many of them are centrally organised, privately owned and technology-driven. They could be organised in a distributed way, collectively owned and need-driven. Do you and I really benefit from smart? What does smart need to become wise?
Livework believes that the smart city agenda deserves a human-centred, design-driven and collaborative approach. Therefore we are rolling out a programme with our friends from Wolfpack, called Humanising Smart with some of our partners and clients.
We invite you to come and explore this issue and share your feedback and ideas with us. The evening will have an open and informal setting, with lectures by people in the field and a debate led by Livework director of innovation Erik Roscam Abbing. There will be drinks and nibbles and you’ll be the first to receive a copy of our paper: Service design for 21st-century cities.
